On Sept 9th from 9am to 4pm at Mac Island Park, 1 C.A. Knight Way in Fort Mcmurray, NEAFAN (Northeast Alberta Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Network) will join FASD organizations around the world to raise awareness of the risks of drinking during pregnancy.

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) describe the birth defects that can occur when a pregnant woman consumes alcohol. Informational booths to increase awareness and distribute FASD educational materials will be set up at this location.

There will be rock painting for children, with the painted rocks to be placed throughout the community to help raise FASD awareness.
